End of You - Mimesis

For the starters I should tell you that working name for the new album is Mimesis, not sure if it's going to be final one though... but anyway I feel kind of funny posting any details yet cos it's not probably coming out before last quarter of 2007, mainly because we can't get mixing job done before October (Hiili Hiilesmaa is busy guy with upcoming HIM & other projects etc ).
I hope we can put single out some time at autumn so you folks don't need to wait that long. As you can probably guess we enjoyed making Unreal so much with Hiili that he's producing & mixing new album also.

We have been making songs over an year now, and while the start was kind of slow (we didn't feel that good about new material, or any music at all the time for the reason I haven't figured out yet), right now we are making pretty good progress and we already have something like 10 possible songs just waiting for finishing them up before we enter to studio (This usually means that I need to finish up melodies and lyrics and that is a bit hell for me some times ).

So what it's going to be like?
"Movie soundtrack" feel is still there and it's going to be some kind of mess about moody/slow/harder songs, not that sure about genre though but definitely it's not going to be this typical Finnish straightforward goth metal . Personally I would like to make not that easy listening material (what previous album was) but we will see where it end's up, after all we are simple people

Ok, we try to keep you folks informed about new album under this topic so I guess I can call this some kind of diary . For the starters I should tell you that working name for the new album is Mimesis, not sure if it's going to be final one though

That's pretty much all there is to say right now about the preparations of the next album.

I'm sure as Jami said that you can forget any compares with our new material to charon, entwine and any other "gothic"-scene band that there is at the moment. I'm also confident that the new material will come out much more mature and maybe even challenging on the new record.

For some reason I enjoy personally that we're not that "ready" with all the production and composing shit as the studio-dates draws near (trust me I'll eat those words pretty soon probably).

Anyway it kind of gives a pretty fresh view to all what we are doing and we're not f.e overproducing everything on the demo-stage of the process as we are tied to get the very basics right and concentrate really composing and arranging the songs.

The chair it's pretty nice and cosy btw.. Bit hurry now.. later..

Whoa!!! waiting will be really long... but , that's for the good cause... hehe!!! Mimesis like a certain tattoo... alas I think that the album will be available only for the beginning of 2008...


@ Ciao Baby : About chair... one should meet, in order to join together some economies to offer a chair to Jami... (it is necessary that Jami or one of the EOU members , works under a comfortable condition to make us a good album... ) Btw.... I find that for a guy it is very careful...

Actually do not see anything common (except the fact all they are "made in Suomi") between EoU and the above mentioned bands. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! Probably those who made the comparisons, do not know well neither EoU nor Entwine stuff

Glad to hear that new album will sound different and challenging!
The only that i don`t like is to have to wait a long time to hear it. That`s the sad part!

Don`t forget the record the recording sessions to use them on a future DVD or for us fans!
